Greetings, Rocker fans!  And welcome to Lynns Hangouts’ newsletter!  Thank you all for signing up so you can get a jump on exciting news!

Band News:

The Lucky Seven has added some new members:  Roge Mamauag as lead vocalist, and Keywan Ryland on Drums.

New Year’s Eve at Referee’s Sports Bar & Grill in Citrus Heights is your last chance to see RedRadio!  We can’t wait to see what these great musicians have in store for 2017!

Bryan Fields, Aimee Wild and Nick Felczer have joined Take Out!  You might remember these three fantastic musicians from Poparazzi.

Cherry Bomb has added some new team members!  Please help us welcome John Rice as lead guitarist, Clint Warner as rhythm guitarist, and Allen Boxall as the new bassist.

Time to do some housecleaning!  There are some of our bands that have been on hiatus or not gigging for a great deal of time and the decision has been made to drop them from our lineup to make room for bands that are actively entertaining.  If they come back out in the gig circuit in the future, we will be happy to support them again!  They are:  Auto Replay, ACA/DACA, Cats Barking, Paradox Drive, Top Secret Band, Hero’s Last Mission, Johnny Favorite, and Endangered Souls.  This brings us down to 52, but we are ready to check out more bands in hopes of adding them to the LH roster for your enjoyment!

I want to take a moment to thank all the cool peeps who hang with me at these venues – soaking up the fun, bonding with the bands, and touching my heart!  You all ROCK big time in my book!!!

November rocked us with fun live music events!  Here’s what happened:

11/4/16:  It’s debut time again!  This time with Four Barrel at the Onyx Club in Roseville!  This is also Lynns Hangouts first time at The Onyx Club!  We got familiar and cozy with the place immediately.  The stage and dance area are around the corner from the bar, which added to the cozy feel.  The stage was nice sized and elevated to show off the bands.  Four Barrel seemed to like everything about the club as well, judging by their awesome performance and ability to make the crowd dance and smile!  And bonus… The Onyx Club is an early venue, 7-10 PM!  And you know what that means for LH and team… Double Rock opportunity!

11/4/16:  After The Onyx Club, we headed to Halftime Bar & Grill in Strikes, Rocklin, to party with On The Fly for the rest of the evening!  We had a blast jumping around the dance floor with our friends, and cheered the few who braved dancing on the stage to Rock Candy!  Always a fun time when a band shares the stage with their beloved fans!  It was great to see a couple of the Four Barrel team members join us for this “after-party” at Halftime!  Another great night for the memory books!

11/11/16:  We are sorry to say it’s been way too long since we’ve partied with one of our bands at Pistol Pete’s in Auburn, but we are happy to say tonight’s lineup happened to be Ma Barker!  This fun band concentrates on the 60’s and 70’s rock, so it’s always a treat to see them!  We started our evening with dinner at the Smoke Pit Barbeque a couple of doors down from Pistol Pete’s.  After some great conversation and a belly full of BBQ, we headed to the venue, meeting some of the LH team in the parking lot on the way.  Pistol Pete’s had dressed up the stage with the addition of flood lights and a cool Pistol Pete’s sign above the stage.  All this made for a great background to the LH videos!  Ma Barker did a fantastic job crankin’ out the fun tunes to keep the crowd dancing and enjoying!  All too soon it was time to head home.  Do the great times ever stop?  Let’s hope not!

11/12/16:  Tonight we were to head to the Corner Pocket Sports Bar in Citrus Heights with The Lucky Seven band.  Little did we know the fights were on, which always delays a band.  To make lemonade out of lemons, we headed to Referee’s Sports Bar & Grill in Citrus Heights to check out Blackwater TOC (True Outlaw Country).  Lead vocalist Chris Duran has been after me for some time to see what Blackwater is all about.  We shocked Referee’s owner Ken Fiola who has never seen us there on a country night!  I stayed in touch with the lead of The Lucky Seven, and after about an hour it was time to head back to Corner Pocket.

We had a great time finishing out the night with The Lucky Seven; dancing with our friends, snapping some pictures and grabbing some videos, as well as meeting the two new members of the band – Roge Mamauag on lead vocals, and Keywan Ryland on drums.  While their play time was cut short because of the fights, it didn’t stop the band or the fans from holding on to every ounce of fun the night provided!

11/18/16:  The Trocadero in Roseville is quickly becoming our “pre-party to the party” destination due to the fact their bands are early (6-9 PM), they have great drink specials, super friendly staff, and lots of fun fans in attendance!  Tonight’s stop brought us the always cool Legal Addiction band.  Regular drummer Randy Riche was back east on business, bringing us the opportunity to meet Christian Wise!  Christian kept Randy’s happy energy alive, making sure all the patrons enjoyed their time with Legal Addiction.  Our own Miles French even joined the band for a quick Beatles tune!  The three hours went by way too fast – we couldn’t believe it when the band finished their last song.

11/19/16:  On special invitation, we headed to a private party up in Rescue for Donald Preston’s 60th birthday bash, otherwise lovingly known as Donaldstock!  There must have been over 100 friends and family at this wild and wacky party!  Two20 had the pleasure of entertaining us with their great music.  Curt Blankenship, percussionist of Two20, arranged many months ago to have the band learn Don’s top 10 favorite songs, which were played during the 2nd set!  Just Because Entertainment sponsored the entire get-together with delicious food, amazing decorations, and fun!  Don changed every hour or so into some of the many different garbs he has collected over the years from different countries.  The party ended with a pajama contest, more namely a ‘onesie’ contest with Don dressing in a giraffe onesie!  The whole night was so special and full of wonderful memories with 100 of Don’s closest friends!

11/25/16:  Black Friday eve is a great time to get out to a venue after a day of shopping or decorating and enjoy live music with all the friends it brings!  I wanted to give On The Fly a shout out in this newsletter for gigging at Jan’s Lounge in Orangevale, and all the friends and family who showed up to support them!  I was not able to attend, but judging by the pictures and those that checked in with me, it looks to have been a spectacular evening!  On The Fly brought Paul Wright and Steve LaFontaine up on stage for a mini-set of Jet Screamer songs!  What a great night – much love to you all!

November was a fast and fun month, but not as busy as we are used to.  December’s parties and festivities will bring us full swing into the Holidays.  We are looking forward to happy and healthy times, and seeing you all out at live music venues to share in the fun and frolic!

Till then, ROCK ON!  \m/
