8 Track Massacre formed in Sacramento, California in 2010. We started as a quartet with Earl Pavao on lead guitar, Pat Roche on drums, Nick Frederick on bass, and Bill Caris on vocals and rhythm guitar.  At our first jam session, we heard the seeds of something exciting as we ripped through a guitar-heavy version of  ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ by Depeche Mode.  Soon, Nick had to leave the band and Dave Heimer took over bass duties.  We spent the next several months building a set list and made our club debut at On the Y in October 2010. We spent 2011 adding songs and discovering new venues in which to play. We soon concluded that we needed a keyboard player to broaden our sound, and John Reed joined us in January of 2012. Since then, we have continued to build a set list of some of the most danceable tunes of the 1980’s. Our live show is filled with hits by bands like Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Billy Idol, and the Cure and we also play many of the biggest one-hit wonders of the 80’s. We are having a great time playing some of the best venues in the Sacramento region and love hanging out with people who appreciate the music of the 80’s as much as we do!
