Great news for Super Huey! They were tapped to be part of Season 5 of The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands on AXS TV, hosted by Katie Daryl! They will perform at Whisky A Go Go on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood! This fun takes place on 5/12/15! LH is so proud!!
The Tone Monkeys’ keyboardist, Bill Glaholt, is now a member of RedRadio! This opens up new songs and venues for RedRadio. Bill is a happy camper working in both bands! Congratulations, Bill!

Your contribution gives us encouragement and makes it possible to keep up the fast pace checking out the local live music scene here in the Sacramento area. Thank you for supporting LH as we support this awesome group of talented folks!
Let’s check out February’s live music fun in the area:
2/6/15: It’s been such a long time since we’ve seen the Unlicensed Therapy Team – we have not even seen their new bass player, Jeff Grenz, at work! Tonight was a must-attend event at Jan’s Lounge in Orangevale, despite the rain! Apparently, most all the fans felt the same way and came out in force! Tonight turned into quite a party with lots of familiar faces; lots of hugs, smiles and laughter; great tunes and great beverages! The band kept the dance floor lit and had a ball doing so! My good friend Shelley brought a tiny stuffed monkey, later called Micro Music Monkey or MMM for short, and passed it around the band and fans so she could take a fun picture of everyone who held it! What a great way to bond everyone together who cared to let their imagination run wild! It was an epic evening!
2/7/15: Little did we know, tonight was going to be a special night. We were back to Jan’s Lounge in Orangevale with A-Train to a packed house! The band was celebrating a birthday for Mary, whose heart belongs to Mitch, the percussionist. The team also decided to make it Neon night, and that’s where it got interesting! They decked out in 80’s makeup, hairdos, clothes and jewelry! Some of the fans did the same! There were neon eyeglasses being passed around and I had a fun time grabbing videos of folks sporting the glasses while singing and dancing! I managed to grab a great 2nd interview with guitarist Adam Paul – his gig story is pretty amazing! You can check that out on 3/11/15! There were lots of other band members supporting A-Train this evening such as Matt Lipford, Angelo Dapello and Steve LaFontaine of Jet Screamer; Tracy Butler, Roberto Reyes and Rick Rapalee of Red Radio; and Amanda Lynn, Jason Friend and Brian McGuire of Tragically White! Talk about an amazing party!
But the party wasn’t over for LH and a few friends as we took off about 11 PM to head to The Blarney Stone Irish Pub in Orangevale about a mile down the road from Jan’s. Two20 was playing there and we had promised lead vocalist Jerry Pompei we would come see his band when possible. Due to the close proximity, it seemed the perfect opportunity! It had been a long time since we’d walked through The Blarney’s doors, but I was amazed that the bouncer recognized me! How cool is that!! We were equally amazed at how good the band was! So much great energy up on stage, and a very tight musical team! So amazed and impressed were we that Two20 is now LH’s 58th band! I think they were as happy to become part of the LH family as we were to have them! Looking forward to seeing their whole show in the future and getting more videos of Two20 for your viewing enjoyment! What an amazing evening to be remembered always!
2/13/15: The Opera House Saloon in Roseville was calling our names this fine evening. The invite came with one word – Superlicious – and that’s all it took! There is always a party when Superlicious is involved! We had never seen the Opera House so full of fun-loving fans as this evening! There were five birthday parties and a couple of Meet Up groups to inspire the party! It had been some time since I caught percussionist Tommy Vinci behind the kit with my camera, so a Drum Off was in store. When you see it, you’ll know why I say you just can’t get enough! I also captured some great Fan Files of fans enjoying the party both on and off stage, including Bongzilla – a can’t-miss future video! It was a super fun evening of dance, music and friends! We already cannot wait until Superlicious graces this stage again!
2/14/15: When we ventured back to Sammy’s Island Bar & Grill in Roseville to see Set In Stone this evening, little did we know it would be the last live music band to grace the stage, as they closed their doors for good two days later. I guess you could say we brought the house down! Lead singer Daryl Morales was not able to join the band this evening, so Chris Duran was gracious enough to fill in. Chris is in Blackwater, a country band, but Chris definitely has some rock in him! He did a great job! And this being Valentine’s Day, there were so many music friends that included Set In Stone in their romantic plans, it’s hard to count! Just to drop a few names….Shelley, John B, Angelo, Lanell, Matt, Danniel, Adam, Julie, Chandra, Mitch, Mary, John G, Rosalee, Lynn M, Patsy, Jan…the list goes on and on! What an incredible evening of super charged fun!!
2/20/15: Apple Z always throws a great party when they play at Thunder Valley, and we thought inviting some friends that have never seen them before would be fun! And fun it was! The band decided to do a lot of jams this evening, and their transitions in and out of songs was remarkable! Such a talented group to just lay it down like that! Our friends were thoroughly impressed! We ended up staying all 4 sets and even chatted with the band afterwards for a good 20 minutes! Late night, but oh such memories!
2/28/15: When Rebel Yell makes it up to our area, we make it a point to join in the fun they bring! Strikes Halftime Bar & Grill in Rocklin was the venue of choice for this rendezvous and it seemed everyone knew about it – the place was busy! Lots of Meetup Groups and familiar faces made the party even better! Since Rebel Yell started their gig in February and ended it in March, they all wore green of some kind to usher in the Luck of the Irish! The set list was fresh with some fun new songs, and I secured an interview with lead vocalist Miro Berglund. And what’s a night with Rebel Yell without a Drum Off of Jimmy Rehn! Super fun evening and we stayed until most every instrument was packed up!
Even though February was short, we managed to party with some very fun and awesome bands! Stay tuned for March’s newsletter to check out the fun and learn some interesting facts about more of the bands!
Till then, ROCK ON! \m/
